Cîroc Coconut Cocktail
When it rains, we pour.
s dreary weather vies for first place on the list of the inevitable in life, the Alexander & James team embraces the motto that miserable weather calls for sunny drinks. And so, we’d like to make this little ditty our theme cocktail for July.
One sip and those rain showers will become the sound of the waves lapping up the beach’s sandy shores. You’ll sit nestled under the shade of the palm trees, the scent of grilled fish mingling with balmy sea air. To pour this beach fantasy, start with Ciroc Coconut vodka, infused with natural coconut and tropical flavors. Add fresh grapefruit juice for a bit of citrus tang. Then round out the flavors with a touch of simple syrup and bitters for an elegant, refreshing cocktail begging to be enjoyed with summertime dishes like steamed mussels, shrimp or grilled fish.
How to make it
Gently coat the rim of a cocktail glass with a piece of grapefruit rind. Cover a saucer with a thin layer of shredded coconut and roll the outer rim of the cocktail glass through the coconut. Set aside. Fill a cocktail shaker with a couple handfuls of ice. Add the Ciroc Coconut vodka, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and bitters to the shaker. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, then strain into the prepared glass.
